Le Butcherettes performed this weekend at Cobra Lounge presented by our friends of Riot Fest. They’re one of the best live shows we’ve had in Ruido Fest. Lead singer Teri Gender Bender (Teresa Suárez) makes the crowd go wild, screaming, dancing and playing different instruments are some things you’ll see her do on stage.
Le Butcherettes will also be touring with At the drive In this Spring/Summer, yeah!

Last week, Conan O’Brien debuted his episode “Made in Mexico” – premiering his trip to repair relations with the southern neighbor. He asked locals if they’d like to pay for the wall (in exchange for their name on a brick!), crashed someone’s quinceañera, and gave a full monologue in Spanish among other things.
While Conan often makes it his duty as a late night comedian to have fun, this new take brings in a welcome conversation regarding immigration policy.
Perhaps we can all take a piece from Conan’s new theme and celebrate the diversity that this country offers.
Protistas will be touring North America for the first time. This band from Chile is part of our lineup for Casa De Ruido in Austin. Check out their music and don’t miss them at SXSW! RSVP at EVENTBRITE.

Chicago winters are very long and cold. “Frio” the new single of Buscabulla‘s new EP featuring Helado Negro gives us the oposite feeling. The song is full of daydreaming sounds and beats making us forget about the polar vortex.
Enjoy!
